Lavender Essential Oil is the feature on the blog this month and I am excited to bring you a quick and easy way to use this floral aromatic oil in a warm beverage! I find lavender essential oil to have a very soothing aroma and often use it throughout my day to feel more calm and relaxed.
Many individuals already use lavender in their diffuser or by adding a few drops with epsom salts to create a spa-like bath, but some essential oil fans may not be aware that lavender can also be used in the kitchen. Think of all of the fun and exotic creations you could come up with! Already have a fantastic recipe using lavender essential oil? Share it with me in the comments below!
It's important to note that not all essential oils can be used internally and to check the label and do your research about the safety precautions before ingesting any brand of essential oil. In addition, always use essential oils with great care, particularly with children, pregnant women, or those with medical conditions. Consult your doctor for more information or visit doterra.com for more information.

I am a huge fan of taking a break and spending some time wrapped up in a cozy blanket on the couch while diving into a good book. Sipping on a warm mug of earl grey tea makes this downtime even more relaxing.. add the wellness benefits of Lavender Essential Oil and I end up taking a nap from the feelings of pure relaxation!
Try this Lavender Early Grey Tea recipe for yourself and see how long you stay awake for..... zZz...
1. Spoon loose leaf tea into steeping bag and place in your favourite mug.
2. Add almost boiling water for desired strength and steep for 4-7 minutes.
3. Remove tea bag (or leave in water, depending on your preference of strength) and add milk/cream, honey (optional) and 1 drop Lavender Essential Oil.
Sip & Enjoy!
Note: I used Organic Cream of Earl Grey Tea from Davids Tea in this recipe.
